All Visual Boston was a direct spin-off of All Visual LA, and was created with assitance from its founder, A. Dola Baroni. All Visual is a digital slideshow projection of recent work from local, national, and international visual artists working in various mediums, though photography is most prevalent.

Excerpt from a review by Caitie Moore posted on Photo Nights Boston:

The slideshow was housed at Spectacle, a collaborative space in an old factory-converted studio in Jamaica Plain. The walls were lined with old wooden filing cabinets, wonky shelves and velvet couches. Lit by a giant ambient five foot across octagonal Lightbox and strands of Christmas lights strung around the exposed air ducts, the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Big oriental rugs lined the hardwood floor and made great seats during the slideshow.

Within minutes of 9p.m., the place was full of students and young professionals, chatting and networking in their various spheres. Many of the photographers themselves came to the event, generating a great platform for conversation after the show.

Unlike similar “Pop-Up” events, this one wasn’t pretentious (and they had free beer!). After the slideshow, it became a great opportunity to chat with friends and network as many of the attendees were members of artist collectives (C.R.I.T. and Rifrakt to name a few) or young entrepreneurs in their own endeavors. As I mingled through the crowd, I couldn’t help but notice how well this event had harbored progressive, energetic, creative thoughts. I’m glad to say that for Saturday night, I felt the burning fire of collaboration and creativity. I hope to see more events like this in Boston.
